The interview was super professional and direct. I learned a lot from it. They went over the job details and benefits super thoroughly. They were also really open about the salary.

Behavioral Case

I was invited to interview with three members of the affiliate team separately for an hour and a half. Everyone was incredibly friendly, had great energy, and kept the conversation going. I felt like I did fantastic, but didn't hear back for several weeks. 3 weeks later, I was told they proceeded with other candidates, but they recommended that I interview for the same position on a different team. I went through the same process, interviewing with three people for an hour and a half. They didn't ask me anything I wasn't prepared for; no crazy, abstract, quirky questions that a lot of agencies tend to ask. They really just want to see how well you adapt/learn and how trainable you are.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

It started with a quick phone screening to go over why I was applying and my background. There was also an online skills test that mostly involved grammar and basic math problems related to SEO, which could be figured out on the fly. Then there was another phone interview, also not too tough. After that, I was invited to their Chicago office for the final stage, though they don't help with travel costs. The last part involved a series of meetings with management, including a surprise case study, a more detailed look at the job, and questions about my interest in digital media marketing, Rise, and my resume. Everyone was nice, but they used a lot of industry jargon and acronyms. When I asked for explanations, they often responded with more unfamiliar terms, which made me hesitant to ask follow-up questions. I got a tour, and they got back to me with a rejection not long after. It seems like they prefer candidates who are confident in a fast-paced setting and knowledgeable about industry terms, even without direct experience.
