So, the interview started with a skills test I took at home. It was an hour long and had three parts, all about internet marketing. I had to do some basic math, like calculating click-through and conversion rates, but they gave us the formulas, so it was mostly about speed. The first two parts were math, and the last part was writing a sample intro email to a new client. After I passed that, I went in for an interview. I met with three people, and they asked general questions about my background. A lot of the questions were a bit out there, and I figured out they were trying to gauge my thought process. I asked one of them what kind of person they were looking for, and they said they value analytical thinkers who are dedicated to doing great work. So, if that sounds like you, be sure to show them that side of yourself. After about two hours of interviews, they said they'd be in touch.

I applied online and heard back from HR within a week about a skills test. I took the test that same night. It's an hour-long test with two math/analytical sections and one writing section. The first math part is in Excel, basic stuff with numbers and formulas. For the second math part, you're given info on search engine ad costs and returns, and you have to use a budget to decide where to spend and explain why. The writing part is a welcome email to a new client. After passing the test, I went in for 3 one-on-one interviews at the office. They were pretty chill and comfortable, mostly standard questions, but they really wanted to know why I was interested in the company and the role. I thought it went well, but HR didn't call me back like she said she would. When I emailed her, she let me know they went with someone else.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process included two regular zoom interviews where they asked basic experience questions. This was followed by a case study interview. The case study focused on how to handle situations, fix errors, and format data, along with some minor marketing math questions. The goal was to assess your thinking process rather than your direct competence. It was a very conversational and relaxed experience.
