I interviewed with the hiring manager who seemed very robotic and asked a bunch of standard questions, then wrote down my answers. It felt super sterile. I guess it's to make sure everyone has the same experience... which apparently means no emotion at all. The hiring manager apologized for going off script when asking a follow-up about my response. Felt like an AI could have done that interview.

I had four phone interviews over two weeks for two different positions. First, HR confirmed my continued interest in both roles. We were in regular email contact between interviews. Overall, the interviews were good, and everyone was friendly. They suggested I reapply in a few months.

There were 6 interviews in total. The first was a recruiter call, then another recruiter call. It felt a bit cold compared to other Riot interviews I've had. Then I had an interview with the hiring manager, which was great and felt like a cultural fit interview. The second interview was with another manager who did a light technical check. After that, there were four more interviews. Two were cultural, one was with a team member, another with a higher-up from a different department, and two were technical, one with a team member again and a manager from a partner team. All were interesting talks, but I got no feedback. They asked for STAR method answers for everything. I was rejected in the final rounds via an automated email, with no way to ask for feedback or thank anyone. It wasn't the most welcoming experience, but I learned from it.
