I went through the whole process for a Senior Data Scientist role. There were 1 online assessment, 2 initial interviews, and 5 final-round interviews, making it 8 rounds total over 3 months. After the last interview, HR emailed to set up a call. I gave them my availability and they confirmed it a day later. The call itself was 30 minutes long. They told me they decided to go with another candidate. No feedback was given.

I first had a chat with HR, and then I got a HackerRank link. The test had two Python and two SQL questions. The Python questions were super basic, and the SQL ones were only slightly harder. After that, I had a call with the manager. It felt pretty chill. He had me go through a case study where I had to explain how Big Data could be used to improve Riot's product, assuming the person asking didn't know much about tech. It was okay, but I think the interviewer wasn't super prepared and sometimes asked questions in a confusing way or realized my answer wasn't what he was looking for.

There were a bunch of phone screens first, then an onsite interview. At first they seemed to care about culture fit, then later discussions were about how I would solve various data-related problems, both real and hypothetical. Since there's such a wide range of expertise in how to best deal with certain data problems, I doubt any candidate would know all the answers. My best advice would be to make sure you're familiar with the work you've already done.
