Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RingCentral.
Manager
So I got an offer after 3 rounds, but they rescinded it because of budget cuts and reorg. It was a huge bummer and showed a lot of disorganization from the top. What's worse is they relisted the job 3 months later, and I didn't even get a callback. The AVP who interviewed me didn't own up to it or apologize, which really showed a toxic culture. They definitely wasted my time.

Proposal Manager
Before applying, I had a call with the recruiter to see if I'd be a good fit. Sounded good, so I applied. Then I had interviews with six people. Some were phone calls, some video, and some in person. They wanted the whole team to approve of the hire. All the interviews before the last one went really well. The last interviewer didn't have direct experience with the role but wanted someone with more IT and B2B experience. That was disappointing. I found out later I didn't get the job because of that one person's feelings, even though they weren't the hiring manager. I felt the job description didn't match the experience needed or what was discussed in the interviews, and the team wasn't aligned on who they wanted. It felt like a big waste of time in the end.

Implementation Manager
It was a mix of assessing personality and technical skills. I talked about my current job and what I expect from this company.
