Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ring.
Software Engineer
The initial screening involved coding problems. Following that, there was an interview panel which included two coding interviews, one system design, and one LLD. It was alright, though the number of behavioral questions felt like a lot.
- Can you describe your most notable project from your previous work experience?
Software Development Engineer
The interview was mostly technical. In the first part, I did a code review and talked about program logic. The second part involved asking the interviewer questions about the company.
- Could you write a class for a phone book?
Senior Software Engineer
Had a nice recruiter chat, then talked to 2 devs with decent questions and convo. Overall good vibes. But, ended up with no offer and some bogus feedback not even related to the interview, questions/answers or the role itself. Seems like the interviewers themselves don't have much dev experience and are just playing their own games.
- Standard system design type questions
