Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ring.
Marketing
The whole process took four days from applying to getting the offer. It was super fast, showing how quick Ring is. I applied on Thursday to the Senior Corporate Recruiter, and she called me within an hour to set up a phone call for later that day. I went in on Friday for four 1:1 interviews, and got an offer on Tuesday. The interviews felt like conversations, and they were happy to answer my questions. It felt like a startup environment, everyone was friendly. Things moved quickly and smoothly after the interview, and Maya kept me updated. Everyone seemed genuine and passionate, and they want people who are passionate about making an impact.
- Could you clearly articulate your professional background and the value you offer?
- Are you prepared to proactively ask us questions?
Marketing
It was pretty shambolic. We started off in a room adjacent to the warehouse that was previously used for kidnap and torture, then progressed to an office. Everyone was very lovely but I got the sense that they were going through the motions. The hiring manager told me halfway through my seven interviews that they already had someone for the job. Seven contiguous interviews over lunchtime without a break. Follow up was a templated email 10 days after the event.
- Can you share an instance when you had a disagreement with your manager?
Marketing
I applied online and got an email a few days later to set up a quick phone interview. Then HR was supposed to be in touch to schedule an onsite. HR reached out the next day and we set up a date. The onsite involved meeting 3 people for 30 minutes each. A few hours after the onsite, I got a call with an offer.
- Can you walk me through your experience and background?
- Describe a time you had to handle a specific situation.
- How do you think you would fit in with our company culture?
