Devops Engineer
Started with a quick chat with the recruiter, then I had a 1-hour call with the hiring manager. After that, it was a 4-hour in-person session. They asked a mix of technical stuff and how I approach broader tech challenges. It's helpful if you have a basic understanding of products and services.
- Are you familiar with Amazon's leadership principles?
DevOps Engineer
The Interview process was smooth and easy. It went like this: 1) HR Call 2) Telephone round - 30 mins 3) Skype Call - 30 mins 4) In Person Interview - 3 hours. It required basic AWS and Linux knowledge.
- Can you provide an overview of AWS Architecture?
- What are some basic Linux Commands?
- How would you verify if a specific port is open?
DevOps Engineer
I had a phone interview with their Lead DevOps Engineer. He was clearly on the go, and I could hear him breathing heavily. He didn't have my resume and claimed HR was at fault. During my introduction, he steered me away from discussing my experience and towards topics he preferred. He ended the call saying he heard what he needed to, which was quite rude and unprofessional. It felt like they had already decided against me before the call even started, so it was a waste of my time. I'd advise others to avoid DevOps roles at this company.
- Can you introduce yourself since I don't have your resume?
