The interview started with a 30-minute Zoom call with an interviewer who gave a sales pitch for the company and asked about my background, focusing on technical aspects of a past project. They were evasive about work-life balance. Oddly, the job ad mentioned languages the company doesn't use. After the call, they emailed their manifesto and required agreement before proceeding. The second round was a 60-minute technical interview on CoderPad. The first half involved system design for a cloud data processing pipeline. The second half had a short coding task in a language of my choice. The interviewer seemed uninterested and rude, and despite the guide saying specific cloud service knowledge wasn't needed, I was quizzed on them.

I wouldn't bother interviewing here. I spoke with a recruiter and they ghosted me. The phone interview was nothing out of the ordinary. It is impossible to get a hold of post phone screen. What is the point of hiring for a recruiter if you're going to disrespect people's time?

First up was a virtual call, the standard get-to-know-you type of thing, asking about yourself, a time you messed up, and even a conspiracy theory you believe. Then, an in-person meeting where you'll do a 1.5-hour prospect presentation followed by a cold call role-play. The last step is a chat with the CEO, and apparently, this guy is intense, no cap.

Had a video call for about 30 minutes with the recruiting manager. They first talked about the company, then asked a bunch of questions, some of which seemed pretty random. They also mentioned that the job requires working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. The base salary is only 70k for almost double the standard work hours. I told them that the work hours aren't possible for me and that was the end of it. I think this company is looking for young people who are desperate for work and willing to put in crazy hours for low pay, expecting high turnover because there will always be people willing to do it.
