Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Right Management.
Consultant
The interview felt engaging and supportive. The interviewer used their knowledge and experience to guide me. As a young professional, it was really helpful in understanding and communicating in the right direction and setting context. They eventually directed me towards applying for a more appropriate role based on my experience level, rather than the one I was interviewing for.
- Can you describe your experience?
- What motivates your job search?
Consultant
It started with an initial phone screen with HR, then a 1:1 with the regional manager. After that, there were individual interviews with different team members, followed by a 1:1 with a senior leader. The process concluded with a presentation to a group of people. The presentation felt irrelevant as it wasn't related to the specific job I applied for. When I inquired, I was informed it's a standard part of their hiring process, despite the content mismatch.
- Behavioral questions were utilized.
Consultant
Started with a recruiter call where they looked at my resume and asked about my past client base and targets. Then had a 2nd phone interview with a senior consultant who was quite stern. They asked about my specialist areas and then focused on the ones I had less experience in, which luckily were her strongest areas. When I asked about my strengths, she didn't know the answers. I asked about the instruments they use at RM and she said she didn't know, saying she wasn't an 'instrument person'. I wondered what would happen if a client asked her that. She also didn't know the history of the company, again, what if a client asked? I didn't feel she was well-rounded enough to interview me and wasn't a good representative for her company.
- What about other areas like workforce analysis?
