The first two parts of the process were pretty standard: a quick screening interview followed by a 'super day' where you meet with 3-4 employees. I felt good about the company after that, but then came the project. Ridgetop basically has you do some of their actual consulting work. For me, this involved cold-calling real estate agents for a client they had. I spent hours on this, put together a detailed spreadsheet, and submitted it after about 10 days of work. The following week, I let Ridgetop know I had another offer and would need to decide within a week. However, I didn't hear back from them for over two weeks. After I followed up myself, I was finally told three weeks later that I didn't get the offer. It was a terrible process and showed no respect for candidates.

Behavioral Technical

They make applicants do free work for them with no job guarantee. The process started standard with a 1-on-1 with a hiring director and then more interviews with higher-ups. Then came the sample project, which is basically doing free work for them without even a job promise. They give a prompt, possibly a real project they're getting paid for, and you have to recruit people to talk to them about it. You use your own accounts, get no pay, and no guaranteed job. I stopped after a few hours of work on the project and told them I wouldn't continue. If you value yourself, don't do free work for a company that doesn't employ you. I would be so mad if I did hours of unpaid work on a real project and didn't get the job. Ridgetop Employees, please change this. Everyone I talked to was weirded out and told me to stop because I was better than that. There are better ways to judge candidates than exploiting them for free labor when you have the upper hand.

Had a phone call with HR, then a Zoom interview with the Director and CEO. Lots of behavioral questions were asked. It wasn't super tough, but you really need to be the kind of person they're looking for. Pretty good experience so far.
