Software Engineer Intern
I first had a chat with the recruiter, who was super nice. Then, I was given a take-home coding challenge that was pretty fun, like a LeetCode problem. After that, I met with an engineer from the team to discuss the take-home problem and do some more live coding. Finally, I had a meeting with a technical hiring manager.
- Could you solve a problem involving graph algorithms such as BFS or DFS?
Software Engineer
I was referred by a friend who started there a month before. I began with a casual 1-hour chat with the CEO about the company's vision, funding, team, and strategy. This meeting made me want to proceed. Then, I met the team (about 5 people then) a week later. It was like a typical onsite: we talked about my previous work and some technical questions were asked on a whiteboard. Everyone I met was smart, open, and friendly.
- Can you design a system?
- How would you approach an algorithm problem?
- Let's do some coding.
Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty fast. Started with a recruiter call, then I could pick between a technical phone screen or a take-home coding test. I did the phone screen which was cool since I was working. After that, I had an onsite with three technical interviews and two behavioral interviews with the CEO and CTO. Everyone was really nice and made it a good experience. Got an offer the next day.
- Tell me about two general algorithmic questions.
- Can you describe one system design question you were asked?
- How would you approach this specific algorithmic problem?
