It was a technical interview focused on how I handle and manage data. I had to parse through json data and find specific info. There was also a behavioral part where we talked about the file and information I had worked with. They also asked about my past work experience.

This was a terrible experience. It started with a phone interviewer who was untrusting and seemed paranoid, questioning me like I was a beginner for a senior role and even asked if I was lying on my resume. Then the recruiter rushed me for an in-person interview with a weird 2-day deadline, acting like my schedule didn't matter. The in-person interview had one interviewer who was really insulting, accusing me of lying and calling my university a 'high school.' They made an offer, but then they wanted my 1099 and W2 from previous jobs, which felt like a privacy violation. Also, shady people from a background check company called, sounding uneducated and acting like detectives, accusing me and insulting my nationality, even though I have two degrees. I also noticed all the engineers and recruiters were from only one gender, which was a really striking lack of diversity. The rudeness, disrespect, and lack of diversity made me lose interest, so I didn't accept the offer because I don't want to work in that kind of environment. It was a nightmare, but it taught me to look for company culture red flags early on. Also, if a company has a super long online application with tons of questions and asks for references and personal details before even talking to you, it's not worth it.

The process was super informal. The hiring manager reached out to schedule a phone call. During the call, I introduced myself, and then they talked about their job for 30 minutes, without asking me anything. I thought it was just conversational and they liked me. They said it would be the only round. But then they ghosted me for a month and emailed me for another interview, probably because they learned nothing about me. It was the same weird style where they didn't ask me any questions. They ghosted me again after that.
