Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Richemont.
Analyst
It was a really interesting interview process. They asked me about my knowledge of SAP and accounting theory. I also had to talk about my academic background, why I applied for this specific role, and what my motivations are for the future.
- Do you know SAP and accounting?
- Tell me about your academic background and why you applied for this job and your future motivations.
Analyst
It was a rude, political and unprofessional experience. I applied online and had a phone screen with HR, followed by an online interview. Some questions were job-related, but the interviewer kept asking about my reasons for staying in the US and my feelings about the current international situation. I'm not sure if it was a lack of training or personal bias, but the questioning seemed aimed at understanding why I'm pursuing a career here. It felt like the interviewer might not enjoy working in finance or in the US, leading to their skepticism about others' choices. My previous interview experiences were different, either focusing on job-related questions or ending quickly if there was no interest.
- The majority of questions were not job-related, focusing instead on current political and international affairs.
Analyst
I applied in early November 2022 and wasn't successful. Then, a recruiter reached out in late November about the same role. When I questioned him, he said the job specs had changed, but they hadn't. He lied. I found him unprofessional and insensitive. I asked to be taken off the database so I wouldn't get more job ads for roles I'd already applied for and been rejected from.
