First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Richard Allen.
Client Executive
It was a pretty standard interview process, not too difficult if you already knew a bit about Richard Allen. Overall, it was a really good place to work.
- What is your understanding of the company's background?
- How would you assess your knowledge of the company?
Account Executive
I talked to the HR Manager on the phone. She told me where and when the interview was and gave me a basic rundown of the job. The next day, I went in to meet the manager in White Plains for about 25 minutes. He talked about the company's past and its future plans. He also explained the day-to-day tasks. I was invited back for a full day of interviews on the second round. I spent the day with an executive who helped me really get what the company is about, the job they're offering, and how I could grow and what the pay is like. I got the job offer a few days later.
- Do you see yourself in a leadership role?
Account Executive
It was a multi-step process, all done in two days. First, an informal interview. Then, a hands-on interview where you shadow a second-level executive. You'd go out into the field, which could be anywhere like the Bronx, visiting different businesses. During this field time, they explain how the company operates and you can ask your questions. The final step was a chat with the branch President, in my case White Plains. They reiterated details about the company structure and environment, and also assessed your fit. This meeting was quite informal and happened right after returning from the field. I got an offer the next day, but turned it down as it wasn't what I was looking for.
