I was contacted by recruiters and engineering managers a few times via email, so I decided to go for it. The first interview was pretty badly put together. I was interviewing for a Front-End Engineer position, and even though they knew my experience was in Front-End, the whole interview was focused on Back-End stuff. It really makes you wonder about the engineering culture at this company.

There were three interview rounds. The first was a mix of technical and behavioral questions, focusing on my background and experience. I also had to review and optimize some code. The second round was a technical interview where I had to write methods to interact with a mock database, both reading and modifying data. This felt like pair programming with two engineers, and I explained my thought process as I coded with their input. The final round was a system design interview where I discussed how to set up a database schema for a given mock website. While this last interview didn't heavily influence my candidacy, it was my favorite. Overall, the process was relaxed and provided valuable insights into the company's problem-solving approaches, reinforcing my belief that it's a place where I could grow as an engineer.

It was a really smooth process overall. The recruiter and interviewers made me feel comfortable the whole time and gave off a really good vibe. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week. First, there was a 1-hour remote interview with an engineering manager. We talked about projects, they asked some behavioral questions, and then a few coding questions using a code snippet, plus a system design question. I heard back within an hour that they wanted to move forward. Then came the remote super day. It started with a 1-hour system design question with two engineers, followed by a 1-hour coding assessment where I had to refactor some javascript code, also with two engineers. After that, a 30-minute call with a product designer focused mostly on behavioral questions. The super day went well, and I was invited for a final chat about the company and product with the VP of engineering. I got the offer two days later and they gave me some time to consider it. I had a few questions before accepting, so they set up multiple calls with different engineers to answer them and share more about the products, which I really appreciated and ultimately helped me decide.
