Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rialto Capital.
Summer Analyst
The whole process took 6-8 weeks, it was long. First round was with 2 VPs, then 2 separate rounds with a director each. It was not technical, they just wanted to know if I knew there business model.
- Could you explain your interest in CMBS and credit?
- What do you understand about our business model?
Analyst
It's mostly behavioral. There are take-home excel exams that check your basic real estate knowledge, like cap rates, LTV, and basic pro forma modeling. The whole thing usually wraps up in about a month. You'll interview with people from Associates all the way up to Managing Directors. This role is in Rialto's Miami office.
- Can you figure out the purchase price if you know the NOI and the cap rate?
Analyst
I had a phone interview to check my fit for the role, and then I got a case study to do. I had until Monday to finish it. It took me about two hours to get the deliverables done and build a basic model. I sent it to the hiring manager but haven't heard back. No confirmation, no rejection, just silence. I emailed them a week later, but still no reply.
- We talked about your personality fit.
