First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rialto Capital.
Senior Associate
It was a two-stage interview. First, I talked to HR, which was pretty standard and by-the-book. Then, I met with the leadership team. They seemed genuinely interested in my background and asked engaging questions. It was a good chance to understand their culture and how they operate.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Summer Analyst
The whole process took 6-8 weeks, it was long. First round was with 2 VPs, then 2 separate rounds with a director each. It was not technical, they just wanted to know if I knew there business model.
- Could you explain your interest in CMBS and credit?
- What do you understand about our business model?
Financial Analyst
The first interview was a bit slow and included standard questions about your background and your knowledge of CRE. After that, we moved on to more typical financial analyst questions, focusing on LTV and cash flow.
- What is your current location?
- Can you describe your experience with CRE?
- What do you know about CRE?
AI Engineer
The recruiter's setup was a mess, with delays, wrong info, and no clear direction. They didn't even know where the office was, parking, or where to go. Less than 24 hours before, they told me to wear a suit. When I got to the Miami office, most of the team was fine, but one guy was on his phone the whole time, not contributing. It was super unprofessional. The interviewers were smart, but they kept asking about big data AI/RAG skills with millions of records, which I don't have and didn't list. I think we had different expectations. The recruiter also never followed up or gave any feedback.
- How would you design an AI system that can take in millions of documents and images, organize them, and make them quickly accessible for retrieval and inference?
