Standard interview process. Had 1 round with HR, then 1 tech experience interview, followed by a system design interview, and finally a live coding session. Everything was great, except for the live coding session. They basically tested me on a specific library for a specific context I was a bit out of touch on. They could have easily told me beforehand what the test would be focusing on, or, at the very least, did the live coding session at the beginning of the selection process. A massive waste of my time and efforts. The live coding session was also very badly conducted. The problem was not very well defined, the interviewer's English wasn't that easy to understand. It looked as if they barely prepared and thought about it at all. Easily one of the worst interviews I've ever did.

The first step was a recruiter call which was pretty chill, just to get to know you. Then, there was a take-home assignment where you had to design a neo-bank onboarding experience. Finally, you'll explain your decision rationale in the hiring manager call.

The hiring process started with a positive recruiter call where the HR rep was really friendly and went over all the job details. Then, there was a code challenge that I had to finish within five days. The coding task was a bit challenging but doable, though it was pretty demanding and took up a lot of time. After submitting the code, I had a technical interview with two team members. They asked me about software development and problem-solving, and I also had to walk them through the code I submitted. They mentioned they'd only move forward if I accepted a Mid-level role instead of the Senior position I applied for, which I agreed to. The next step was the manager interview. This was mostly technical questions, focusing on a small app project I did previously. I had to explain its functionality and my design choices, including why I chose specific approaches over others. While I understood the intent behind some questions, others seemed to miss the mark regarding the app's original purpose or the time constraints we had. I figured I didn't get the job when one of them said they needed someone who could jump in and contribute fast. The whole thing spanned about two months.

I applied for the Product Analyst role at Ria Money Transfer in March and was contacted by a recruiter the very next day. The process included a recruiter call, an assessment, and two rounds of interviews, spread out over two months. As part of the process, I was asked to download Ria’s mobile app, initiate an actual money transfer, and conduct a full End-to-End analysis of the experience, complete with recommendations. The nature of the task went beyond a typical case study—it clearly aligned with product work that the company itself could use. It felt less like an evaluation of my skills and more like a way for them to collect strategic insights without compensation. After each follow-up, I was told I would hear back by Friday—week after week. When I finally reached out again for an update, I received a generic rejection email that not only lacked any constructive feedback but also referenced the wrong position. After two months of engagement, it felt dismissive and unprofessional.
