Fullstack Developer
Had a "get to know you" chat with the engineering manager. It was mostly questions about my previous work environments, like how things are done, my methods, how I adapt, and my career growth. We spent a good amount of time discussing agile development specifically, since they were really curious about how we set it up at my current company.
- What Agile processes do you follow, what parts do you enjoy, and do you improve the processes based on feedback?
Quality Engineer
The interview was a two-hour session for a full-time position. It focused on behavioral questions related to my resume, rather than being heavily technical. They touched upon basic quality concepts such as Ishikawa diagrams, 8D, and Kaizen. We also discussed my past work and its connection to quality.
- Can you describe your quality-related work from your prior internship?
- Tell me about a time you utilized root cause analysis and explain the process.
Import Operations
I got there and we started with some light conversation and questions about work. But then the interviewer quickly shifted to really personal questions, and it felt super awkward and I was left without words. I politely excused myself and said I was uncomfortable with the questions. The interviewer ended the interview and I didn't hear back for two months. It was a really bad experience.
- As a woman, have you already bought a house?
- Do you have a boyfriend?
- Are you married or when do you plan to marry?
Management Trainee
The interview process is quite slow, aiming to find future leaders for Rhenus. They select 10 MTs each year. To understand more about the organisation, watch Trans India episodes 32 and 33. The process involves a Group Discussion (GD), followed by a Personal Interview (PI) and assessments. The first assessment is a bit of fun, like a mobile game where you solve Sudoku. The second assessment uses SpeechX, similar to what's shown in Mindtree's YouTube videos. Good luck to all the frustrated but deserving candidates!
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me about a failure you experienced?
- Can you share an instance where you had a difference of opinion?
