The interview was conducted via WebEx with someone from HR/Recruiting and my future manager. First, they introduced themselves and then I introduced myself. After that, they gave me a brief overview of the company and we discussed it. Finally, I was asked if I wanted to continue in the application process and was told I would receive feedback within about a week.

It was a very pleasant and open conversation with the future manager and a recruiter. The conversation lasted about 50 minutes. First, we introduced ourselves, then we clarified if we had the same expectations for the position, after that I was asked questions about my career path and professional experience. Finally, and also throughout the conversation, I was able to ask my own questions.

They first interviewed me for a different role that I had the skills for. They weren't very welcoming or friendly. One person left during the interview, and another was talking with the HR director while I was filling out a form. It used to be a nice environment, but now I don't think it's a very progressive one; it seems to only be for friends and family.

The interview started on time, reflecting the precision of German engineering that Rheinmetall is known for. After being given a modern visitor badge by a friendly receptionist, I was picked up by a charismatic HR manager. Our first stop was a brief but very impressive tour of the production halls. Here, I got to see firsthand how cutting-edge technologies for the defense and automotive sectors are developed. The machines hummed like a symphony, and the precision of the operations was almost poetic.
