Inventory Specialist
Simple interview, in a group setting, only requires knowing how to use the equipment. Just follow instructions, listen carefully, practice with the app, and reapply it before the allotted time. About 30 people during the same interview, no oral exchanges though.
- Are you available on weeknights?
Inventory Specialist
I went to this really weird interview. First, me and two other people watched a 15-minute video and did some practice with a finger scanner. Then, we had 'one-on-one' interviews. Since I got there first, I went first. I applied for the part-time Healthcare Inventory role, but it turns out that people in healthcare inventories also have to do retail/grocery type inventories, which wasn't in the application. It also didn't mention that you'd be working in a 30-mile radius, not just your district. They don't really try to get to know you personally; I think they just hire whoever applied and showed up for an interview. They showed a video instead of a formal introduction. The pay would have been good, but the vibe wasn't right.
- Do you have any other questions not covered in the video?
Inventory Specialist
I found this job on a job board and they got back to me really fast, like the next day. About five days later, they sent me an email with some dates for a group interview. It was basically watching a video for about 20 minutes, but they paused it a bunch to explain stuff and let us ask questions. They told us about the work hours, like how morning shifts could start at 3am if we had to go somewhere else, but usually it's more like 6 or 7am. Night shifts could be as late as 10pm. Most jobs are about 4-6 hours long. The pay is fixed, no haggling, but you can get raises and bonuses if you do a good job. Work can be a bit unpredictable, especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Do you think this job would be a good fit for you?
