Applied online for Houston, TX location. Started with a timed IQ/Personality online test. Wasn't difficult, but I only completed ~40/50 questions in time. Once completed, got an email for a virtual interview 8 days later. First interview was easy, talk about the programming languages I know, projects on my resume, work experience, etc. Simple questions like "Where do you see your career in 5 years". Was with an HR person so nothing technical. About 30 minute interview. 6 days later, got emailed about second technical interview. Second interview was 1/3 coding, 1/3 programming question, 1/3 open ended questions. Coding was simple, FizzBuzz and then debugging a program to do with memory allocation and pointer. I did it in C but had the option of C or Python. Programming questions about data structures, like "What is a linked list" with the website to draw/demonstrate. Then open ended questions like "How much experience to you have with TCP/IP". Got emailed back 8 days later "You have not been selected for the next steps in our process."

First, I took an assessment that they said was for critical thinking, but it didn't seem related to the job at all. It was super easy though. Then, I had an online chat with HR. They asked some basic, non-technical stuff and were helpful with my questions. But the salary they mentioned was way lower than what I saw listed. The third step involved more general questions, like asking about the kind of work environment I like, but these were different from the HR chat. The whole interview process felt like a lot of unnecessary steps and not as effective as other ones I've done.

It started with an IQ test covering memorization, math, patterns, and personality. Then, there was a laid-back Zoom call with a recruiter to get to know each other. After that, I had an in-person meeting with the president of software development; it was formal but mostly conversational, with a small part focusing on my projects. Next, I had a Zoom interview with three leaders, which was similar but more conversational (70%) with about 30% focused on projects and experience. Finally, there was a drug and background check, followed by an offer.
