The whole thing took over a month. It started with a phone chat with the recruiter, then a couple of Skype calls with the recruiter and the manager. Then I had to do this proctored test at home, like they were watching me on Skype the whole time. After that, I had a phone call with the department supervisor. It was confusing because they kept mixing up the job titles, sometimes saying it was for Marketing Representative, sometimes for Marketing Analyst. In the end, after a month of four interviews, two tests, and filling out some super detailed forms, I just got an automated rejection email, which felt really weird and impersonal for how far along I was.

I got in touch after getting an email to call recruiting. They did a quick phone chat to see if I met the basic requirements, which I liked because it could have saved me a whole day if I wasn't a good fit. Then I set up my first interview, which included an IQ test, a personality test, and a skills test. They sent practice materials so I could refresh my math skills. My interviews happened over a week on two separate days, and I talked to four people. The process is really thorough, but the time it took and the number of people I met was probably more than usual since I had to reschedule some interviews and was also checking out other roles, so I met with different department heads. Finally, I had to schedule a drug test and soon after got an offer. They're pretty picky about who they hire, which is great because everyone there is super smart. My department has seen people get promoted fast internally. The office is spotless.

So, the first interview was like a 1-1.5 hour chat with HR. They hit me with some curveballs like my 5-year personal and professional goals, how I figured my salary expectations, and my reasons for wanting to move to Houston. After that, I had two more interviews, one with a Marketing Supervisor and another with the Marketing Director. They mostly just went through my resume, asking about my college and extracurricular stuff. The questions in these latter two interviews were pretty much identical and super straightforward. It's a bummer I didn't get the job offer; I'm still not sure why, as all I received was an automated email saying they weren't moving forward with my application.
