Sales Trainer
Had telephone screening / interview which went well with the individual who told me would get the full job spec and salary package sent over with a view of follow up interview a week later , guess what nothing came so chased twice for update to be told then that had got two people closely aligned to the business area ! Real poor experience communication but irony was she banged on about how good at communication the business was !! Avoid these lot
- Can you discuss your background and skills?
Graphic Designer
It was a video interview. It went really well. They were a bit vague about the job details. I'm not sure they knew exactly what they were looking for since they've used agencies before. They want someone who can manage communications with the agencies and also do some of the design work themselves.
- Can you describe your experience and what value you can add to the company?
Project Manager
First interview, quite simple and classic, via video call with my future manager (N+1). Second interview with N+1 and N+2, also quite interesting, I learned the morning of that I had to go on-site instead of a video call, interesting. A third informal interview by phone where it was made clear to me that they were not looking for a training project manager but a hybrid project manager / leader / training team manager, which surprised me a bit, it was about time they told me. They proposed a fourth interview where I had to do a presentation, on-site, to see if I could fulfill this hybrid role. The N+1, who repeatedly told me we needed to speak "heart to heart", ghosted me after 4 interviews.
- Could you tell me about your past experiences and the projects you've worked on?
Internal Sales Representative
A recruiter reached out and I applied. The next day, I had a 20-minute phone call with another recruiter, covering basic questions like why I applied, my interests, and my experience, plus salary expectations. They then passed my info to the hiring manager. I asked for a week's notice to arrange it around my work, and about a week later, the recruiting team called to schedule an on-site interview with the hiring manager. I showed up on time, but the hiring manager wasn't there. So, another team member interviewed me. The questions were similar to the phone interview but required more detail. Since the hiring manager wasn't there, they couldn't discuss salary and said I'd need another interview. They also questioned why I needed a week's notice, suggesting it would have been better for them if I'd come the previous week, which felt unprofessional. They said they'd be in touch to schedule another interview, but I haven't heard anything since. I've tried following up with no reply, and it was a waste of half a day and gas.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What would you do if a customer was angry?
- How do you handle working in a fast-paced setting?
