After applying, I got a response pretty quickly (about 2 weeks) inviting me for an interview. The interview was with the supervisor, very casual and lasted 30 minutes. First, I was asked some questions, then we talked a lot about the department, processes were explained, and my potential tasks were discussed. I already had a positive feeling during the interview, which was confirmed a week later.

The interview for a working student position is usually quite straightforward and focuses on getting to know you, your technical skills, and your personal strengths. It kicks off with a warm welcome and an introduction to the company and the role. Then, it's your turn to introduce yourself and talk about why you're interested and your background. Technical questions will dive into your knowledge and past experiences. We'll also cover practical things like your availability and how long you can work. The interviewer will give you the lowdown on the specific tasks, the team, and what the work environment is like. Finally, you'll get a chance to ask your own questions. The chat wraps up with an explanation of what happens next and a friendly goodbye. All in all, it's a structured, informative chat designed to help both of us understand if this is a good fit.

The interview was conducted online via Teams. After introductions, questions about my personal background and experience were asked. Then, the company and the team were presented in more detail. Finally, I had the opportunity to ask questions. The whole process took about 25 minutes.
