Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial conversation with a recruiter after she followed up on her first outreach. Her initial message went to my spam folder, so her second attempt was much appreciated. It was great that she took the time to understand my background and gave fun, engaging examples of the company's value proposition for different business types instead of a standard pitch. She answered my questions about the job responsibilities well. Then, I had a phone screen with the hiring manager. He wanted to understand my experience, my preferred management style, and my career goals. He also challenged my approach, and I appreciated him explaining his expectations. I was then invited for an on-site interview, which included a sales presentation and meeting the team. I ended up declining because I accepted another offer, but it sounds like a great company with a strong team. It just wasn't the right time.

It was a smooth process. I first had coffee with the VP of Sales. A week later, I went onsite for interviews, which was arranged by the great recruiter. The recruiter gave me a tour to start, which was nice and set a good mood for the rest of the interviews. We started with a role-playing exercise, and then I had three 30-minute chats with members of the sales team. They were all friendly, smart, and really engaging. I heard back the same day that I was moving forward, and we scheduled a call with the CEO. After that call early the next week, I got the offer the day after. You can really tell there's a strong team spirit here. If you want a place to work together, develop, and build something significant, this is it – from the entry-level staff to the top leaders.

First, there were two phone calls, one with HR and then the VP of Sales. After that, I went to their office for an in-person interview with several members of the Sales team, including the VP of Sales, an AE, and an inbound AE. This part involved 3 separate 30-minute sessions. It was a good chance to check out the office vibe and see the workspace (they have snacks everywhere). They offered me the job two days after this interview, and they were cool about my start date, understanding that I needed to give my old team a two-week notice.
