I was flexible and showed up on a Saturday for the interview. I met with the owner who isn't experienced with interviewing. They're looking for someone who can work 45-60 hours a week. The job ad was misleading about pay and benefits. When I asked about benefits and time off after the interview, the owner seemed concerned, saying 'If you’re already asking about time off, I’m kind of worried.' I clarified that asking about time off is a standard interview question. I also asked about work/life balance, and the owner stated there is none. It seems like this company has unrealistic expectations. If they want the job to be your life, the compensation needs to reflect that.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was awful. It started with a recruiter, who was great, but then the ZOOM interview was with the owner of the location. This was by far the worst and oddest interview I've ever had. I've interviewed many people and would never behave that way. I hung up wanting nothing to do with them and was so turned off I won't even go there for services. I did reach out to the recruiter and let her know he should not be involved in interviews. Some owners are good for investments and investments only. He's one of them. He should leave EVERYTHING else business wise to his team.

First up was a phone call that ended up going longer than I thought it would. I wish I'd known beforehand how long it was going to be. After that, there was another call, and the very last part of the process was a tour of the studio.
