I had a really personal interview process, speaking straight with the lead engineer. It was a small team, for a game that's now canceled, Jedi FPS. After that, the recruiter was on vacation and I never heard back. I didn't really feel the need to follow up with an email.

Applied early in the Spring semester. Recruiter reached out near the end of the semester to schedule an interview. Had 2 interviews: one technical, one personal. Instead of meeting hiring managers, I met with team members who worked on similar projects to what I'd be doing. It was less stressful and a great experience overall. Heard back a week after interviewing.

A recruiter from Respawn reached out to me, and then I was sent a link to take a software engineer test on HackerRank. I encountered some issues with the test, specifically an error in the data provided in the test cases. I emailed the recruiter about it but got no response. I submitted the test and emailed again, still no response. It took about two weeks, and I had to send a direct message on LinkedIn to the recruiter to finally get a reply. They initially claimed they never sent a recruiter offer, but after checking, they finally got back to me with a simple copy-pasted rejection without any further details. This was the most unprofessional recruiter behavior I've ever experienced and reflects poorly on the company.
