I had just one interview with two managers over Whatsapp, as we were coming out of COVID restrictions. It was very straightforward, with a mix of personality and skill-based questions. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I had 3 interviews in total, all with District Managers. Even though I didn't have industry experience, I didn't find it intimidating. It seemed like they really wanted to understand who I am and my people skills. One interview involved a task where I had to sell them a bottle of whiskey. The other two interviews focused on my past work experience and personal interests, like hobbies. The interviews felt pretty friendly!

Behavioral Other

The interview process spanned a bit over a month. I spoke with the hiring manager and three other people, who were all quite friendly and approachable. The offer came just before a major holiday, and I was only given 48 hours to decide. I wasn't even given all the offer details, like PTO and benefits, until I specifically asked. After I got that info and asked for a 15% raise, a better title, and confirmation on the extra vacation time we'd discussed (which was still less than my last two jobs), they emailed to say the offer was off the table because the role wasn't a good fit based on my counter. Lots of red flags, like HR keeping sending me to the hiring manager for HR questions instead of answering them. I'd really suggest RNDC look into their offer process. I've never not countered an offer before, especially in sales where it's pretty standard and should be expected. It seems like this hiring manager might not have much experience with candidates whose jobs are directly tied to sales results. Given some reviews about women being passed over for promotions, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't have been a good fit for me, though I was initially excited about the opportunity.
