Operations Intern
Applied online, then had a phone interview. After that, I did an in-person interview at the branch a few weeks later. Before the in-person, I had to fill out a questionnaire. The in-person interview was with the branch manager and the RVP. A couple of weeks after that, they emailed me more questions. Then I got the internship offer over the phone, and later an email with all the internship details.
- Tell me about your weaknesses.
- What about your strengths?
- How do you add value to our company?
Assistant Branch Manager
The interview process was straightforward. It started with a phone call with a recruiter, followed by two in-person interviews. I interviewed with the branch manager and then with the regional vice president. The questions were mostly scenario-based and not overly difficult.
- How would you handle a situation where a client became upset?
Assistant Branch Manager
I met with the manager first and we had a quick chat with some basic questions. They asked about my past experience and my motivation for wanting to join their team. We also talked about the typical day-to-day operations and if that sounded like something I'd be into. Finally, I got to meet the other people working at the branch.
- Can you share some details about your background?
- What's your reason for wanting to be a part of this company?
Assistant Branch Manager
The interview environment was quite pleasant and the people I met were friendly and easy to talk to. They seemed to understand my hesitation about a sales-focused role. They asked some good questions related to my past job experiences and how I've handled situations involving high-risk borrowers. In the end, it became clear that sales wasn't the right path for me.
- Can you describe an instance where you encountered adversity?
- Tell me about your experience with risky borrowers.
- Describe a situation where you faced adversity.
