Customer Service Representative
I applied online and after about a month, I got a call for an interview. It was at a different location than the store I'd be working at, but it wasn't too far. The interview itself was pretty fast and easy. They went over the salary, the hours, and what the next steps would be. Once I got home, I saw an email for the background check consent, which I filled out, and instructions for where to go for a drug test.
- Imagine a customer hasn't paid for items, specifically beds for her kids, in months. When you call her about it, she says she can't afford them and that if she returns the beds, her children will have nowhere to sleep. How would you handle this?
Customer Service Representative
Got a call from the Store Manager. Normally you'd interview with the District Manager first, but my experience was the other way around. After the initial interview, the next step is with the Store Manager. If you pass that, you'll shadow for 4 hours and then go through a week of training.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your strengths in sales and customer service?
- How would you present yourself and your qualifications?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was scheduled for 12pm their time, which is 7am my time. I waited and emailed, and then the rep called me at 8:15am my time saying they thought 7am was too early so they called later. I was already committed to the 7am interview time, which was frustrating.
- Are you able to perform physically demanding tasks like carrying couches and dressers onto a truck and into a customer's home for 90% of the day?
- Could you share a memorable customer service experience?
