First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Remington Hospitality.
Sales Manager
I had 4 interviews with the hotel, which seemed pretty typical. Then I got a verbal offer. A week later, they told me corporate was slow and I'd get the offer letter and start date in another week or two. This kept happening for about 2.5 months. After all that waiting, they told me they didn't want to hire me for that position anymore and wanted to offer me a different one. I had to wait a week for the job details, then they emailed that they weren't hiring for the position at all. All that waiting cost me opportunities with other jobs because I thought I had this one. Lesson learned: don't wait, keep looking.
- It was really tough dealing with all the waiting and thinking I had the job, only to find out in the end that I wasn't going to get it.
Sales Manager
I applied online and then got a call from the Director of Sales. My second interview was in person with the Director of Sales and HR. I sent a courtesy email to the Director of Sales and got invited for a final interview. The final interview was with the Director of Sales, and I met the Sales Team, HR Director, and General Manager. The whole thing took about 3 weeks from applying to getting the offer.
- Can you describe what a typical day looks like for you?
- What steps have you taken to acquire new clients and build up your existing accounts?
- What is your strategy for retaining current business?
Sales Manager
The interview process was professional, timely, and to the point. Jaynie (DOS) and Jeff (GM) were great! They didn't call me back for multiple interviews, which was nice. I had several questions, and they had immediate answers.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
- Describe how you would manage a specific scenario.
- What are your career aspirations?
