So I applied for this role in Pune through LinkedIn, and the whole thing took about a month. It started with a 45-minute chat with the VP of Engineering about the job and the team, plus my experience. Then, there was a take-home assignment that was pretty enjoyable, took me about 3-4 hours. After that, I had a 45-minute virtual meeting with HR for a behavioral interview. The onsite part involved one technical round with two senior engineers, where we dug into my past work, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge. Finally, I had two more behavioral interviews with some leadership folks. Everyone I talked to was really great and seemed super into what they do.

So, first up there was a take-home coding assignment that they wanted us to finish in about 3-4 days. After that, I had a 45-minute video call with HR for a behavior and culture fit check. Then came an offline tech interview that lasted 1.5 hours, followed by a ~30-minute chat with the VP of engineering. Next, I had a 1-hour video interview with the Manager and senior manager, covering both tech and behavior aspects. The final round was a 1-hour video interview with the VP of Product and Director of IR, focusing on behavior.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn asking for my resume, I sent it over and they scheduled a phone screen. During the screening they asked about my experience, but when they saw I don't currently use Java, they ended the interview because they assumed I wasn't qualified. This was weird since I have 4+ years of Java experience before my current role, plus 3+ years in C++ and other low-level languages. It seems like they only care about one language and don't value growth.
