First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ReliaQuest.
IT Engineer
I went through 3 rounds of interviews. It was a great experience overall. The interviewers were all really friendly and easy to talk to. They asked typical interview questions. If you're familiar with everything in the job description, you should find the technical questions manageable.
- Could you explain DHCP in a way a 5-year-old would understand?
IT Engineer
The interview process at ReliaQuest is tough. There are five rounds total, each one unique. They ask some uncomfortable questions, which I get from a culture perspective. They really want to avoid hiring someone who might be an HR issue. The last round is a long one, about two and a half hours, split into two parts with senior leaders and your potential boss. You have to create and present a deck covering customer service, why ReliaQuest, and why you. They really dig into your deck and ask you to explain your reasoning. I think making the presentation creative is a good idea to stand out and show how you think. Make sure your visuals actually support what you're saying. They focus a lot on how things look and how they are perceived. It feels like ReliaQuest cares more about their brand than actual security. They boast about their advanced platform, but when it comes to hiring, it seems like they prioritize image over real talent. After five rounds, being asked very personal and strategic questions, and still not getting clear answers, even when I asked, makes me wonder about their commitment to performance and transparency, even though they say it's important to their culture.
- Can you share an instance where you received negative feedback from your manager that you disagreed with?
- Describe a time your manager gave you feedback you didn't agree with.
IT Engineer
I heard back from a recruiter in March about the Associate IT Engineer job. The first interview was a basic screening with some simple technical questions. Then, there was a behavioral interview where I felt I represented myself well. I was surprised to get a rejection call shortly after. The job posting is still up after almost three months, which is weird. When I asked the recruiter about it, he was vague and said they were backfilling someone, but it didn't seem totally honest. It made me wonder if they were really looking to fill the role or if things changed internally. Even though I got an interview, the lack of clear communication was a bummer.
- Can you list some common ports?
