Mechanical Engineer
Applied through College Campus Placements. The interview process is short and fairly easy, consisting of two rounds: 1. Online Aptitude and Technical Test and 2. Technical and HR Interview. The online test for aptitude was moderately difficult, requiring you to race against time. The technical test had 50 questions in 30 minutes and was quite difficult due to many factual questions, primarily from materials and their properties. The interview panel included a technical person and an HR person. The interview lasted about 30-40 minutes, with questions covering all mechanical engineering disciplines. The questions weren't deep, and a basic understanding of topics would suffice. The HR interview focused on strengths, weaknesses, and situational handling within the company.
- Questions about boilers were asked.
- They inquired about gas turbines.
- I was asked about bearings.
