I applied through the company's career portal. About two weeks later, I got an email saying my profile was shortlisted because of my resume, especially my projects in CAD, product design, and mechanical simulations. The first round was an online aptitude and technical test. Aptitude had logical reasoning, quantitative questions, and engineering math. So for the off-campus hiring, you first need to send your resume to HR. They mainly look at profiles for Instrumentation, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and ECE engineers. They shortlist based on your whole profile, so you gotta have a good academic record, like first class throughout. After they pick your resume, there's an aptitude test with general math questions and a technical test for your department. Based on how you do in these tests, you'll be selected for interviews. Usually, there are about 2-3 interview rounds, covering technical, HR, and sometimes a stress interview. Finally, they hire folks who did well in all these and have a profile that really fits what they're looking for!
