There was a telephonic interview where we discussed various engineering aspects of the portfolio I would be handling. Then there was a face-to-face interview process which focused on the analysis part of the profile. An HR person was also present during the later interview, asking a few questions about aspirations and culture. They did provide a brief description of the job, but it was completely wrong.

I had a call from HR. They outsourced the recruitment to Ikya Human Capital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The HR person didn't seem to know much about the opening or the required skillset. I had a face-to-face interview. The negative points were: 1) The Head of BA practice came across as arrogant. 2) He dismissed other IT systems as small but couldn't articulate his own significant achievements. 3) The interview process itself was poorly rated. 4) He hadn't read my CV before the call and wasn't clear if he wanted a technical person or a pure BA. 5) His attitude was the biggest issue with him.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you compare distributed models of working, as the interviewer seemed unfamiliar with the concept?
  • Can you explain the IT defect management process?
  • What testing methodologies are you familiar with?

The entire interview process lasted for two weeks. It started with a call from a job site recruiter. There were three interviews in total. The first one focused on database design and SQL queries. The second interview involved some estimation questions, data interpretation problems, and probability puzzles. The final round was with the hiring manager, where I was asked about my past work and projects, and then about some Machine Learning concepts. Unfortunately, I didn't pass this last stage.
