So the interview for the Office Assistant job at Reliance Home Comfort has a few steps. First, HR looks at your application to see if you fit the job. If they like it, you'll have a quick phone call to chat about your background, what you've done, and if you're into the role. Then, the first interview happens, which could be in person or online. This chat is mostly about your work history, what you can do, how you handle different admin stuff, and if you know your way around office software.

Behavioral Other

I had an initial call with HR, and then a virtual interview the next day. The HR person was nice. Then I had a second interview with the hiring manager, but it was bad. The hiring manager was rude and didn't pay attention. They didn't look at me and were really unprofessional. It felt like a waste of time because they weren't prepared or interested. It would be better not to waste people's time if you're not going to be respectful or engaged.

  • Could you elaborate on your relevant experience?
  • Do you have any examples of situations that demonstrate your behavioral competencies?

I had a really bad phone interview with one of their Talent Acquisition Specialists after applying for the Dispatcher position. The Specialist was supposed to call me at 4:45p on Monday, November 15, 2021, but she actually called at 4:56p, 11 minutes late. She didn't apologize for being late and just started talking about the role. I found out the role wasn't actually remote as advertised on Indeed, which was a big issue for me. She also asked about my vaccination status, which wasn't mentioned in the job posting either. Because of these discrepancies, I decided not to move forward with Reliance.

Behavioral Technical Group

The interview process begins with a phone call and then some online tests. These tests aren't super difficult, but you should still take them seriously. After that, there's a really intense 9-hour in-person interview day. The company makes sure you're comfortable and fed the whole day. You'll have back-to-back interviews with executives, which gives you a good feel for the company culture and how dedicated they are to the program. It's definitely exhausting, though, with 1.5-hour interviews nonstop. Even lunch with an executive or LDP participant is basically an informal interview, so be ready to be wiped out that night. The whole interview process is really intense, but it lets both you and the company get to know each other well to make a good decision. Come prepared because the competition is tough. Make sure to have great questions to ask at the end.
