It was a 3 step interview process. First was a phone interview with the recruiter. Second, was another phone interview with the sales manager. Last interview was on site, with two sales managers and the branch manager. Much of the process was typical interview questions. Branch managers interview was a bit more unorthodox however, was very conversational and felt more like getting to know one another than a typical interview.

I talked to a great recruiter first, who was on time with her follow-ups and we really clicked. She then connected me with the sales manager. Our scheduled phone interview didn't happen because she got busy and didn't even bother to let me know to reschedule. After I followed up with the recruiter, we did have the phone interview. Then, I was invited to shadow and have an in-person interview. The sales manager mentioned I'd meet the owner that day, but said he was unexpectedly occupied. Ultimately, I got a rejection letter in the mail. I really wish the sales manager had just told me directly about any concerns she had instead of saying I would meet the owner.

The interview process spanned several weeks and included an initial phone screen. Following that, there were interviews with the manager, the vice president of sales, and the company president. A math test was administered, and I was asked many questions about my skills and experiences, specifically how I've navigated difficult situations. While education was touched upon, the primary focus was on my mindset and how I handle different circumstances.

It was an easy interview process. I had a phone interview first, then I spoke with the branch manager. After that, they brought me in for an in-person interview. The whole thing took about 3 weeks. This company seems to really value their MLOs and their staff. The branch manager seems really committed to helping the MLOs succeed. It looked like a fun, family-like environment. I also got to shadow someone on the floor.
