I applied online and HR contacted me the very next day. First, I had to do this timed written test where I had to make a one-pager about HIV/AIDS awareness for seniors. I guess I did okay because the day after, I got a phone interview, which lasted about 30 minutes. The whole thing seemed to be going fine, though HR did mess up the scheduled time by an hour, maybe because of time zones. Then, the very next day, they emailed me to say they'd found someone who was a better fit. At least they gave me feedback and let me know instead of leaving me hanging.

Got contacted about a week and a half after applying. They emailed asking for my availability for an interview and gave details about it being two hours long, including a writing challenge and parking info. I replied with my availability and asked for time off, but then didn't hear back. Five days later, I followed up and they said they were still figuring out the schedule and asked me to do the writing challenge. I sent it back the same day. Two weeks passed with no word. The job listing changed, so I guess they hired someone or changed their minds. Honestly, their whole approach felt unprofessional, and I'm not interested anymore because of the poor communication and lack of basic consideration.

I found the job on Indeed.com and applied with my resume, cover letter, and a writing sample. About four days later, I received an email with a writing challenge: rewrite a bad press release. A week after that, I had a Skype interview with a Senior Associate and a Project Manager. They asked standard behavioral questions and talked about their work and experience at Reingold. The last step was another Skype interview with some higher-ups, but I already had an offer by then. They were cool with my time needs and I managed to negotiate a higher salary because another offer paid a bit more, and they matched it. The whole process was super fast, one of the quickest I've had. Everyone I met was really nice and professional.
