First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at REDX.
Software Engineer
I went to REDX's careers page and completed a survey, which took me about 2 hours to really think through. REDX got back to me within a week, and I had a first phone chat. They then gave me a task to build a small RESTful service with authentication. After that, there was another phone interview to go over my assignment and for us to ask each other questions. The final step was an onsite meeting with the team, and then they made me an offer and asked for my salary expectations. They made a counter-offer, which I accepted. The whole time, the people helping me with the interview were super responsive and nice.
- Can you share a significant career challenge you've encountered and explain how you handled it?
- What difficulties do you find in team collaboration?
- What factors contribute to a successful team environment?
Customer Support
I set up the email and spoke with the receptionist and Hannah, the assistant manager. Then, I had an initial interview with two assistant managers. After that, I interviewed with the customer support manager. The interviews felt comfortable, and I always felt welcomed and respected. The company's strong culture was evident, making me eager for an offer.
- How do you connect with our core values (candid communication, commitment, craftsmanship, curiosity, drive, good judgement, positive attitude, respect)?
- Of these values, which three do you most identify with?
Customer Support Representative
The interview process involved a phone call, followed by two more interviews. They asked me straightforward questions about myself and my personality, my core values, and my technical background. It was a pretty standard interview process, and I felt at ease because the interviewers were friendly and easy to talk to.
- Which computer programs are you familiar with using on a regular basis?
Copywriter
I had to wait in the reception area for a while, about as long as the interview itself lasted. My interview was scheduled for a Friday, and it seemed like the company was having a party, so the place was pretty empty, but everyone I met was nice and polite.
- Are you concerned about your age, given that apparently no one at RedX is over 30?
