Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Redox, Inc..
Account Executive
I went through four rounds of interviews, investing hours in the process only to get no offer, with no feedback or explanation. It’s not the lack of offer, it’s that I found it ironic that you request feedback from your candidates about their experience, but you don’t have the courtesy to reciprocate the feedback. Feedback is valued one direction at Redox - when it benefits Redox.
- What are your motivations for seeking employment at Redox?
Account Executive
The interview process involved meeting with over 10 people. Some interviewers were great, while others, as noted, clearly didn't want to be there. What they don't tell you is that any of these interviewers can have veto power, which is strange. This means strong sales performers might be overlooked if they focus on things like the actual incentive structure, which can be a red flag about the company's values. Maybe it's because top sales pros can earn double elsewhere? It seems like non-sales people are involved in hiring for sales roles, which is like salespeople hiring a rocket scientist. Sales managers should be making these hiring decisions. The market expects sales professionals to be compensated well, but that's not the philosophy at Redox. It's an awkward process, and I found the pay to be about 50-75% of my current salary.
- Can you share an instance where you disagreed with your manager, and describe how you handled it?
Enterprise Account Executive
I had 5 interviews. First was with a recruiter. Then I spoke with the director. After that, I had an interview with a sales executive and an engineer. The fourth interview was with HR. The final interview was in person and included two panel interviews (with Sales leadership & Product/Support leadership) and one interview with the VP of sales.
- What are some typical sales questions you've been asked?
- Were there any questions about company culture fit?
- Can you provide examples of questions asked during the interview?
