Customer Experience Specialist
I applied online and then a recruiter got back to me about 2 days later. The phone screen was pretty awkward, and then I had a second Google hangout with the customer success operations lead which was also kind of weird because he kept asking me questions that would violate my NDA. I had to keep hounding the recruiter throughout the whole process, it was a slow process. The in-person interview went great, but I got rejected the next day. They asked me questions that made me think they assumed I'd be bored. I think it was ageism and because I'm too alternative, which is funny because their motto is "individuals welcome" but everyone there is thin and traditional. I would have loved to work there, but I learned a lot about myself and it probably wasn't a good culture fit.

Product Designer
The recruiting process involved several phone chats, an in-person interview, a take-home design challenge, and a final 90-minute session. This last part included a cultural interview with unprepared interviewers, a chat with product managers, and a pairing session with a developer. The design challenge instructions were clear about wanting to see my process and how I approach design within 3 hours, but they ended up only focusing on visual design, making the process part less important. After a smooth 90-minute session, I was told I'd hear back in a few days. It actually took a month to get a brief rejection email. I wasn't too bothered as I have other offers and am considering multiple roles, but I found the process unprofessional and a waste of time.

Payroll and Human Resource Coordinator
I was first contacted for a phone call with someone from Talent Acquisition, which went well. Then, I had a Zoom interview with the department manager. After that, I was given a take-home assignment to complete within 24 hours. Once I finished it, I scheduled two more interviews, one with a local team member and another with two international team members. I really enjoyed all the interviews and everyone I spoke to (5 total) was very pleasant. The recruiter was communicative throughout the process, but then emailed to let me know the decision was due to my lack of experience in a certain area. I was confused because the interviews and assignment focused on other aspects. The recruiter offered a call to discuss, which I accepted, but they never responded to my request for availability. While the people were great, the recruiter's communication seemed to drop off once I wasn't selected.
- What's your approach to handling stressful situations?
Performance Marketing Manager
From the first chat with the recruiter all the way to meeting the hiring manager (Michael Rossi), everyone was really nice. I'd totally suggest this company because they're doing cool stuff and growing fast, and the team I met was awesome. Super friendly, smart, and humble folks. Would've been a great place to work! I pulled out of the running, but it wasn't because of anyone I met on the team.
