Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Red Ventures.
Sales
I submitted my application online and then went through a standard phone screen. It wasn't too difficult and I didn't find any of the questions confusing. There were some scenario questions, like 'Tell me about a time,' which might be tough depending on your experience.
- Can you detail your sales experience and specify if you achieved a one-call close?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging sales scenario.
Sales Professional
The interview process and scripting were just like what's advertised for the day-to-day work. The interviewer asked great questions. After I gave my attempt at the sales script, they also offered constructive feedback.
- Tell me about an obstacle you've overcome and what it taught you.
Sales Representative
The interview starts with a 30-minute phone call where they'll go over the role details like hours and pay, and what to expect. They'll ask you some questions about yourself to see if you'd be a good fit for the company culture. If that goes well, you'll be invited for an in-person group interview. You'll get a brief tour, and then a recruiter will walk you through their sales process, showing you a video of it in action. After that, you'll do a role-play exercise with the other interviewees and the recruiter. This is a practice round, so feel free to ask questions. Then, you'll have a one-on-one interview where they'll ask more in-depth questions about your personality and past work experience. You'll also need to do one or more mock sales, so pay close attention during the role-play warm-up. They're there to help, so embrace any feedback as a chance to improve. After this, they'll let you know if you've been accepted. The whole experience felt professional and helpful, with consistent feedback and everyone on the same page. They were very informative and proactively answered many questions.
- What makes you want to work in sales?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- How do you think you'd fit into our company?
