The interview process had four 30-minute interviews with four different people from the publication. There was also an edit test. I enjoyed talking with everyone, and even though I didn't get an offer, I would be happy to interview with these managers again.

I went through 6 interviews and 1 take home assessment for an entry-level editor position. The process took 6 weeks from start to finish. I was openly lied to by my recruiter. I specified my salary requirements during the initial phone call, and when I was moved forward, I specifically told the recruiter I would not like to be considered if they can't meet my salary range. I was assured they would and eventually was offered the job. They offered me 20% less and wouldn't budge when I tried to negotiate. I was told there are raises every 6 months during reviews, which was also another lie. Took the job but left after 6 months.

Started with a recruiter call, then a test project. After that, interviewed with the hiring manager, who seemed like they were there for a long time and the role was open for over 6 months. Surprisingly, they said they were moving forward. The final step was a 3-hour interview with five people, who asked behavioral questions they got from HR. This interview took up most of the day with a break. The next day, after I provided my availability, the recruiter missed our scheduled meeting. An hour late, they asked to reschedule. When we finally connected, they said I wasn't moving forward despite everyone liking me, due to concerns from the test project stage. This made no sense after 5.5 more hours of interviews post-test. The company seems bloated with management making odd decisions, and no one had clear direction for the team or its goals. It seemed like 4/5 of the panel didn't care and were just going through the motions. They should respect people's time instead of using it to get through their workday.
