Account Sales Manager
I applied online through Red Bull's job page. If your application passes, you'll get a link for a "video interview." This isn't with a person; it's an automated prompt where you get a question, have about 30 seconds to prep, and then talk to your webcam. It can be pretty awkward, especially if you're not used to video calls. A couple days later, the district manager for my area called me for a quick phone chat, mainly to get a sense of who I am and to set up an in-person interview. I went in for that about a week after, and they offered me the job at the end.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
- What unique experiences and skills do you offer to the Red Bull brand?
- Tell me about your sales experience.
Sales Manager
First there was a phone interview, then an online personality quiz, and finally an in-person interview. It was all pretty straightforward. The in-person interview was quite challenging though. I got the impression they were looking for someone who planned to stay in sales for over 10 years. When I mentioned my aspirations in marketing, I felt like that's when my application was no longer being considered.
- What aspects of this role do you anticipate being difficult?
- What are your five-year career goals?
Sales Manager
Submitted my application online with my resume and a cover letter. Later, I was contacted for an online interview involving video Q&A. After that, I had an in-person interview with the General Sales Manager and another District Sales Manager. This was followed by a brief phone interview with a higher-level manager, which ultimately led to an offer. The entire process spanned about a month.
