I had a 15-minute one-on-one chat with the store manager while they were open for business. We talked about teamwork, my past jobs, and what I know about the products. It was a pretty typical interview where they asked how I'd handle daily duties and questions from customers.

The interview process was relaxed but still professional, and it was a group setting for a seasonal hiring. It was a good, enjoyable, and relevant process. We were put into pairs to get to know everyone and then split up and asked at random to complete group activities.

Group Behavioral Other

The hiring process had 2 interviews. The first was a group interview where we did 3 tasks: 1. Ranking valuables in a moon scenario individually and in groups. 2. Sharing basic questions with each other and presenting. 3. Selling an item of choice within the store. The second interview was a normal 1 on 1 with the 2 hiring managers. Standard questions. The communication about the deadline was bad, they said we'd hear back by Tuesday if we got the second interview but called on Friday. Then, they said if we didn't hear back by the next Tuesday, assume we didn't get the job, but called us 3 days after the deadline to say it would take another week. Also, if you didn't get the job, you don't hear back. So the process is slow and a bit poor, but the interviews were fun and I enjoyed myself.
