Behavioral

The interview process was unnecessarily complicated and lasted half an hour. They asked two pages of AI-generated behavior questions for an entry-level retail job. The interview was in the morning, and it ruined my mood for the whole day.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Tell me about classic behavioral questions.
  • And how about where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Presentation Group

After filling out an online form, I was contacted to do a group interview. The group was about 30 people large. They made us pick an item in the store and do a 30 second pitch to the group. Then they made us pair up and ‘sell’ our partner to the group. After background checks, successful candidates were offered the job by phone and email. It is not a great way to hire staff, but it did provide a good baseline of the kind of people they were looking for.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Choose a product from the store and present it to the group for 30 seconds.
  • Collaborate with a group member and pitch them to the rest of the group.

Group Behavioral

After I applied online, I was invited to a group interview. We watched some slides, then did an exercise where we chatted with our neighbour and introduced them to the group. Then, the 25 of us split into groups of five for two tasks. First, we had to rank items for being stranded on the moon. Second, we analyzed a product's features and benefits. We presented after each task. A few days later, I had a one-on-one interview focusing on personal skills and experience with behavioral questions like 'tell me about a time you gave great customer service'.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The activity of ranking items for surviving on the moon was a bit unusual.
