Account Manager
I had a phone screening with HR, then I met with the hiring manager (Director), then their boss (VP), then the GM of a related team. After that I got the offer and started 2 weeks later.

Account Manager
I applied online via LinkedIn and heard back from the corporate recruiter about 2 weeks later for a phone interview. After that, I was told a hiring manager interview would be set up for the same week. Following that conversation, an onsite interview was scheduled with just the hiring manager. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and answered my questions easily. The facility is great, and the company seems like a good place to work for employees. The process was smooth, and the questions focused on fitting into the team and my experience. They seem to value skills over direct industry experience. I got an offer within 7 days and am now waiting on my start date. They do a background check.

Account Manager
I applied for an Account Manager job on LinkedIn and a recruiter called me back after some time. We scheduled a phone interview. During the call, I found out the job was actually for an Account Representative I, which is entry-level, not the mid-level position I applied for. The job description was different from the posting. The recruiter asked me sales-related questions about quotas, and was surprised I didn't have much sales experience, even though my resume was impressive. He then asked me to do a mock sales pitch. He said he was still unsure about hiring me due to my lack of sales background. He mentioned he had other candidates and would discuss with the hiring managers. He also told me to call back the next day for a status update, but only at specific times because he's busy. He didn't call me back as promised. The whole experience felt unprofessional, and I felt like I was being criticized for a job I didn't even apply for.
- Can you share some details about your professional background?
- Have you ever been responsible for meeting sales quotas?
- What's your favorite hobby?
